Reykjavik, Iceland
The Hallgrímskirkja (literally the Church of Hallgrímur) is a church in Reykjavik, the capital of Iceland. The church is named after the cleric Hallgrímur Pétursson (1614-1675), who is considered the country's greatest hymn writer. At 74.5 meters, this is Iceland's tallest church building. Due to its location near the old center of Reykjavik and the visibility from the wider area, the church is one of Reykjavik's best-known symbols.
Construction of the Hallgrímskirkja began in 1945 and was completed 41 years later, in 1986. During the work, the design was criticized as an old-fashioned mishmash of styles. The Hallgrímskirkja is Samúelsson's last work and is considered his most important building. He has not experienced completion

Harpa is a major concert and convention center in Reykjavik. The name means harp, but is also a symbol of hope. The building was designed by Danish architect Henning Larsen in collaboration with Olafur Eliasson.
Construction started in 2006, but due to the credit crisis that hit Iceland even more severely in 2007-2008, construction was halted and it looked as if the large construction pit in the center near the harbor would remain empty for good. In the end, it was decided to complete the prestigious building. The opening concert was held on May 4, 2011.
In 2013, Harpa was awarded the Mies van der Rohe Prize for Contemporary Architecture of the European Union.

Rotterdam Blaak Station was opened on 15 September 1993 by Queen Beatrix. The striking design is by architect Harry Reijnders. It looks like a flying saucer with a diameter of 35 meters. Some think it looks more like a wilted sunflower or a whistling kettle and the people of Rotterdam sometimes use the less flattering name 'the manhole cover'

The first photo is a double exposure shot. The second a so-called high-key photo. The third photo was edited in Lightroom and converted to the Classic Chrome Film Simulation
