Top 20 of 2018

Sunrise, Biesbosch
Snow, ice, high tide and rising sun in the Biesbosch National Park... the perfect combination to enjoy the beautiful nature. Because the water is sinking, a beautiful landscape is created!
Long exposure taken with the Fujifilm X-H1, the super wide-angle zoom XF 8-16mm @8mm (12mm FF equivalent) and with polarizer and gray filters

High water, Meinerswijk
How beautiful the river area is... especially during high water! The combination of high water with long exposure creates serene pictures.
Thist photo is a panorama of three photos. Taken in floodplain park Meinerswijk with my Fujifilm X-H1 and the XF 23mm (35mm FF equivalent). ISO 400, f/11 and 120 sec. With polarizing filter, ND1000- and GND-filter

Forest, Speuld
Exploding colors in the Speulderbos, a nature reserve, centrally located on the Veluwe, between Ermelo and Garderen. It is one of the oldest forests in the Netherlands, formed during an ice age. There are many crooked trees in the forest, because they were less suitable for building boats, so they were spared. They are known as the 'dancing trees'.
Photo shot from tripod with the Fujifilm GFX 50s and the magnificent GF 250mm (200mm FF equivalent). Camera settings: Velvia Film Simulation, ISO 400, f/22 and f/4.0. I used a CPL-filter

High water, Rhine floodplains
The river Rhine during high water. With flooded floodplains. And with a beautiful reflection because there was hardly any wind and no strong water flow. Photo taken near Randwijk with my Fuji X-H1 and XF 23mm (35mm FF equivalent). Shutter speed 120 sec. ISO 400 and f/11. And with a polarizer and ND-filter

Sunrise at the Mudflats, Moddergat
This amazing light explosion with beautiful reflection of the light is captured with the Fujifilm GFX50s with wide angle at 17mm (13mm FF equivalent), ISO 400, f/22 and 0.4 sec. And with the use of filters (CPL, ND and GND). It was early to get up, left immediately after half past four from home, but well worth it! It was an admirable experience!!
The photo is published on the cover of ‘IN BEELD', edition 107, the quarterly magazine from the Dutch Photobond

Sunrise, Meinerswijk
It is slowly getting light... photo taken in the Meinerswijk Floodplain Park between Arnhem and Driel (my former hometown). Intense colors due to the Sahara sand in the sky.
This is the first photo with my new Fujifilm GFX 50s medium format camera with the GF 32-64mm. Shot @32mm (25mm FF equivalent). Slow shutter speed 0.6sec, f/11, ISO 200. I also used a 150mm magnetic CPL-filter and R-GND filter. In Lightroom finished with the beautiful Fujifilm Provia Filmsimulation.
What a detail and dynamic range!!

Sunrise Railway Bridge, Oosterbeek / Arnhem
A railway bridge over a river and a little bit foggy morning. The perfect conditions to take a beautiful photo! In this case it's the railway bridge over the Rhine in Oosterbeek (near Arnhem).
Photo taken with 150mm gray- and half-gray filters. And finished with the beautiful Classic Chrome film simulation and a final touch of Luminar AI. Fujifilm GFX 50s @45mm (36mm FF equivalent), ISO 200, f/11, 240 sec

Railway Bridge, Oosterbeek / Arnhem
The same railway bridge over the Rhine in Oosterbeek (near Arnhem).
Photo taken early in the morning just after sunrise. With a train disappearing in the mist. Fujifilm GFX 50s @45mm (36mm FF equivalent), ISO 200, f/16, 1/20 sec, shot without filters

Sunset at the Weir, Driel
"War of the Worlds" (Orson Welles)
Just before the sun sets behind the Weir in Driel. Intense colors due to the Sahara sand in the sky.
Long exposure photo taken with the GFX 50s with GF 45-100mm. Shot @45mm (36mm FF equivalent), ISO 200 and with ND64, H-GND and S-GND filters

Old Lighthouse, Oostmahorn
Long exposure photo with special and playful editing in Lightroom. The lighthouse no longer works, but with my edit I brought it back to life!
Fujifilm GFX 50s with Laowa 17mm (13mm FF equivalent). And with CPL, ND and GND filters
